I really have no interest in explaining to someone who refuses to understand because he’ll never accept anything I say just because it’s me. ‘Don’t throw pearls before swine’

Not surprised you didn't watch the you tube.
$2.5 million for a ladder truck, hope it performs better than the $1 million one talked about. The REV Group seem to have a lock on too many parts so worthwhile to ask if the ladder truck you're going to check out is a REV Group vehicle? And what's the lead time on parts to repair it now?

I’m actually flying out tomorrow to pre-con a 2.4m dollar new ladder truck, I have 30 years in actually driving (and keeping operational) fire trucks and the issues therein. I can assure you that being the ‘Fire Chief’ doesn’t in any way make you current and knowledgeable about current fire truck issues and needs (most of them drove a very long time ago when things were truly far, far different). Chiefs rely on people like me to actually know about and solve the current problems with everything going on in this subject. But sure, the all-knowing, all ways right Rideback is the expert, fully knowledgeable about every aspect because he has a link that blames only one thing from someone he knows exactly zero about, so let’s ONLY use that!? To quote one of my favorite lines: “ should we or should we not follow the advice of the galacticly stupid?!”

So you did watch the clip and notice that it was a Fire Chief who was interviewed, right?
So you do know that every fire truck needs parts, right?
Those parts are sourced from supply chains, right? When the supply chain has empty shelves and lead times go out as far as 4 years so that too many fire engines are unable to be driven or they can only travel at 15 mph, that's going to impede fire districts, right?

If only we had an actual professional FF around who could lend context and clarity to this obvious one angle hit piece?! Like you always insist about things you weigh in on and say you know so much about there is much more to this issue and a good portion of our problems IS government interference and regulations for their ideological efforts. I really don’t think MORE regulation, ‘oversight’ or certainly control of this industry will be better (but of course I’m just a ignorant Dips**t know-nothing according to you here)
