Stormy weather today - not just in the midwest, where violent tornadoes are possible - but in Washington DC.
Trump may still have his MAGAs, for now. But their pain is coming fast - and The Wall Street Journal, run by the Rupert Murdoch family, reports in an editorial that Trump's words, "I COULDN'T CARE LESS", are going to come back to bite him.

Today is Trump's "LIBERATION DAY". Liberation from WHAT? Apparently, only Trump knows. He has NO plan for which countries he is going to tariff, or for how much. He'll just decide today who he wants to hurt most.
Which has sent Wall Street on a roller coaster, and given every business owner, from major corporations to construction companies to grocery and department stores to local Mom and Pop shops sleepless nights.
NOBODY has been able to make any plans. NOBODY knows if what Trump says off the top of his head today - and change tomorrow - is going to force them scale back, to to lay off workers, or to even go bankrupt.
Because no matter WHAT he says today, he WILL change it tomorrow. Most likely in yet another 3am all-caps rage post.

It is not just Wall Street that can no longer trust him. His own party is starting to show cracks.
A number of Republican Senators are refusing to go along with his wild fairytale that tariffs on Canada are somehow going to end non-existent fentanyl trafficking. (More crosses the border FROM the USA).
And now House Speaker Mike Johnson just panicked and cancelled the rest of this week's votes over a Republican rebellion. Nine Republican Representatives voted with Democrats to allow proxy voting for new parents in the House.
This scared Johnson. SCARED HIM. Because he had planned this week to hold the vote on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would not only require proof of citizenship to vote, it would require voters to have their present ID match the name on their birth certificate.
There is only a razor thin Republican majority in Congress. And he may not have the votes.

Meanwhile Johnson just delivered the news to Trump that, no, he cannot run for a third term as President. He said on Meet the Press Sunday that "there IS a Constitutional path' but that road requires you to 'amend the Constitution to do it.'
'And that's a high bar,' he added. He said that he talked privately with Trump about it, and that he "believes" Trump understands that.
Apparently Johnson also believes in the Tooth Fairy.

Trump was also betrayed Tuesday by his pick for the Joint Chiefs of Staff chair, "Razin' Caine", who refused to lie for Trump and instead threw his prospective boss under the bus at a confirmation hearing.
Retired Lt. Gen. Dan Caine, (who reportedly HATES the nickname "Razin'" that Trump has stuck on him,) told a Senate committee on Tuesday morning that the story Trump has been spreading about him is not true.
Trump says that when he met Cain in 2018 in Iraq, Caine told him “I would kill for you, sir,” before slapping on a red MAGA cap.
“For 34 years, I’ve upheld my oath of office and my commitment to my commission,” Caine said, according to Politico. “I’ve never worn any political merchandise or said anything to that effect.”

And then there is Musk's loss for Trump in Wisconsin Tuesday. On top of Musk's tanking poll numbers - not only is Musk's popularity gone, but apparently even his money is not worth as much any more.
Despite Musk pouring millions into the race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, and despite him bribing voters a hundred bucks to sign a petition, and despite him wearing a cheese hat to personally hand out checks for a million bucks each, and despite him bribing voters $20 bucks each to recruit other voters to pose with endorsement pictures of the Republican candidate, HE LOST.
He lost.

And now Musk and colluding cabinet heads are poised to fire 100,000 more government workers this week. People with families. People who serve Americans. All of whom vote.
Many of them voted for Trump.
Government workers are showing up for work and are just being sent home without a job. No warning. No reason. Doesn't matter how vital their role is, or what the consequences are, or who it will hurt. They are just a number to Musk and his DOGE boys.
And nothing at all to Trump.

Stormy weather is coming today, "Liberation Day".
