It is not about harboring criminals, it is about offering sanctuary to those in need and it is core part of the Christian faith as well as others. People were not arrested in churches because of the covid ban on large gatherings. Get a grip.
The churches did not unite like they are now to protest what has long been a standing protocol that the govt will respect churches' sanctuary. It goes without saying that the ICE raids are not coming up with rapists and criminals in the numbers that Steven Miller promised Trump. In the Aurora, CO raid they arrested 1 guy, the rest were not members of gangs. In Langley, WA on Whidbey, they arrested a mother at a laundromat while her kid was in school.

Meanwhile, the churches are uniting, congregations are standing up because they want to protect the sanctity of their houses of worship.

Only you could twist innocent people exercising their freedom to worship and being arrested as fine but legitimate law enforcement removing rapists, muderers and vicious gang thugs from those same innocent parishioners or schools full of vulnerable children as bad! There was no gestapo, there was no military or police that entered churches but there was a concerned President who was trying to do all he could to bring health back to his nation.
