Great interview on PBS, tonight, 9/19, with Harvard Historian Jill Lepore about the ‘originalist’ argument about the Constitution. And what the history of the Consitution is ….and isnt. 7 minutes.

This was in response to an PBS interview, yesterday, with ‘Originalist’ John Malcolm…from the Heritage Foundation. And one of the authors of project 2025. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/herit ... nstitution

Lepore debunks his crap and sets the record straight! The word ‘Originalist’ didnt even exist in the first 200 years of our history. It is a made-up term.

Not sure I would say debunks or sets any record straight but would say gives her opinion and we all know everyone has an opinion, and most vary depending on their political leanings.
Additionally as far as when words began their existence the same can be said about numerous words currently in use today that didn't even exist in the 20th century. To pick a single example Transvestite until what late 1990' they were queers, fag's and a few other terms so the same can be said about numerous words and terms that were first "coined" in the last even 25 years.
