INTERESTING. RFK Jr is reportedly firing Trump loyalists from Health and Human Services.
CBS News reports that he just fired chief of staff Heather Flick Melanson and top policy adviser Hannah Anderson, who were "installed by the White House to keep tabs on Kennedy and make sure the president's agenda was being prioritized."
"Their firings come after other Trump loyalists have left the department in recent weeks. Scott Rowell, who had served as the deputy chief of staff for operations, also left the department. Rowell previously worked as a top-ranking HHS official during the first Trump administration," reports CBS News.
RFK Jr was never a Trump loyalist himself. He knew he was losing, and Trump knew if RFK Jr stayed in the race, he would lose votes to him, so Trump offered RFJ Jr the deal that if he dropped out, Trump would make him HHS head, which was the main reason RFK Jr was running in the first place.
But it looks like there is some actual division between them, if Trump feels he needs to keep tabs on him, and RFK Jr doesn't want Trump - or his loyalists - around.
Like Trump, though, RFK Jr does not seem to be able to stick to his guns. Maybe because he can't remember what they are, or where he put them, or if he even had them to begin with. Or because he received too much pushback on them. Like Trump, RFK Jr only wants to be popular.
When he was younger and active in Massachusetts politics, he championed agendas that had nothing to do with health. Looking to grab the Kennedy mantle.
It was only when he latched onto the anti-vaxxer cause that he got the notoriety he craved.
He actually had all of his OWN kids vaccinated - he admitted that during his Senate confirmation hearings. He has just been USING the anti-vax cause and its followers to get what he REALLY wanted - a stepping-stone to reach for the presidency himself.
So yeah - he is no supporter of Trump. And if JD Vance wants to take over using the 25th Amendment, RFK Jr will most likely be the first Cabinet head to get behind him. (Vance needs a majority of the Cabinet heads to oust Trump.) "
