And it goes without saying that drone attacks like Ukraine demonstrated are the best argument against Trump's Golden Dome.

Yeah, this may be how "it" starts. Some wackos or like you say a high school student may want to see what happens when they weaponize a drone.
Need some legislation that allows for enforcement? By the time that would happen it's too late. Hmm, it already is.

This.

I've been saying for years that weaponized drones are probably the biggest security risk we face.

You can find a lot of material on how to modify a cheap drone to be a deadly weapon online. There are helpful how-to videos and wikis that go into all of the details. There is also a devil's garden of drone accessories on Amazon and Alibaba that only really make sense if you intend to kill people with your drone. There are also a lot of .STEP files out there for even more destructive stuff that you can 3-d print.

This isn't necessarily super high-tech either. More like it is in the range of what a bright and antisocial high-school student could do with very modest resources.

The Ukrainian drone attacks seems to have rattled the Trump admin. Jim Wright responds:
"his threat has been well known to the Intel Community for at least two decades.
It's been identified in detail in every strategic threat assessment up the chain of command for at least ten years. It's on DIA's desk. It's on CIA's desk. It's on DIRNSA's desk. It's on the NATSEC's desk. It's on Trump's desk.
But politicians all want trillion dollar F-35s and F-22s and invisible bombers and giant aircraft carriers built in their districts. Because those things and the jobs they create buy votes. And when the new attack comes, and it will just like 9-11, they'll blame the intelligence community for all those reports and briefings they ignored.
Meanwhile, the guy Trump appointed to run the Department of Homeland Security's main hub for combating terrorism including an $18 million grant program intended to help communities address violent domestic extremism is a 22-year-old kid, a year out of college with a degree in political science and no experience whatsoever other than working on the Trump Campaign who isn't even qualified to be a goddamn INTERN in counterterrorism.
But, yeah, Dan, why don't you tell us more about how concerned the FBI is.
This guy is joke. He's worse than a joke. He has no idea what he's doing and he's running the FBI like it's a Fox News reality TV show for clicks and likes.
These idiots are going to get us all killed."
