Ok so some people are afraid of the evil looking firearms but I reiterate this law is going to do absolutely NOTHING , NADA, ZILCH to keep evil people from doing evil things. It is only going to affect law abiding citizens and if some can't comprehend that they probably have other mental deficiencies. Because it isn't the weapons that killed people it is the person controlling the weapon. Plain and simple fact that can't be disputed regardless how hard you try

Maybe some folks aren't afraid of all of our fellow citizens, but are terrified of mentally unbalanced people (who have no access to decent mental health care services) who have access to dangerous weapons. We are also terrified that neither law enforcement, the courts, nor the legislature seems to be able or willing to take any effective measures to deal with this mess. We are even more terrified that many of our fellow citizens seem to be okay with pretending that there is no problem here, or even that the problem is manufactured as part of some Evil Master Plan.

Each widely publicized mass shooting event makes the position of pro-weapons apologists for mass murder look even more insane. Which is quite remarkable given how insane they already look.

What stops a person from going to another state and purchasing one and bringing it back? The first word in the third line supposedly stops that, this law is only going to affect law abiding citizens , and not do a blooming thing to stop someone intent on doing evil things from doing evil.
You have to admit this is nothing but another means of control by an out of control Governor and legislature that is afraid of its citizens

It is apparent that the legislators of WA. are unable to comprehend "shall not be infringed"
But then these same legislators as requested by Governor Dimslease and Sidekick Bob are, or at least were, considering those that are called Patriots as Domestic Terrorist
Remember when the 2nd Amendment was written, the authors were not just coming back from a deer hunting trip but from fighting a war with an out of control government

Interesting... Does not ban the ownership of a firearm that matches their definition of "assault weapon"... Just the manufacture, sale, and transfer in the State... Why not just drive to another state and buy one? Anyway, a bunch of word salad that the courts will have to figure out. We need term limits for governors also...

There is no such thing as an ‘assault weapon’, assault is an action so any item used in the commission of an ‘assault’ is an ‘assault weapon’. These are just guns you don’t like (because you don’t know or understand guns) and think are scary. This will fail in court because it violates Wa St. constitution!
