Ray, its been that way for a while at least in late May and June. 20 years ago I'd ski My Adams and the crowds were the same but perhaps later in the season.
That's getting to be what the Hwy 20 hairpin looks like only add a helicopter dropping skiers in Spire Gully in between high marking snowmobiles, groups of 15 commercially guided tours, snowmobiles ripping all the lower exits to the up valley ski lines and recreational BC skiers looking for scraps.
That is way I now call that area Disneyland.
This, some would argue overcrowding, is now "normal".
Remember,The FS counted something like 720 vehicles at Rainy Pass one summer day late year.
The current Forest Service mandate is to promote Recreation.
I think those who remember how it used to be may not consider this scene relaxing.
