It is obvious that some factions and members of the Democratic party are socialist.

But itis crystal clear that if you support Trump and the Republicans you are a national socialist.

Like always your stupidity is your method to be the biggest arse possible! My father died too young to receive SS and Medicare so maybe try just an ounce of humanity but thanks for your ignorance to remind me and having to tell everyone here just to try and stop your lies and false narratives.

Dear Ken the Socialist -

No, I am not doing ‘research’ on my neighbors. I actually met your Grandfather. He was a Navy Captain, was he not? And I was well acquainted with your dad. He did work at my house for me….and I played in a weekly poker game with him for probably 10 years.

Do not try to argue that both of them didnt enjoy retirement and/or social security benefits AND Medicare….all SOCIAL PROGRAMS.

And I recall you boasting about owning a Tesla. What do you call that sizeable price help/rebate you got for purchasing that vehicle? Who paid for that?

So you agree the Trump MAGA regime must be stopped? Glad to have you on board!

What is the taking of stakes in US Steel, Intel, and Westinghouse if not government seizing the means of production?

No, like usual you're full of sh** and a liar. My grandfather was NOT "a lifelong military veteran" he worked in the private sector and had a healthy disdain for too much government power over people. My father NEVER worked in government or had ANY healthcare or retirement provided by anyone else. But you are too stupid and ignorant to actually know what you're talking about but only too excited when you THINK you have a political angle. Now, why exactly do you do so much research about neighbors and (wrongly) accuse them of bull*** you have no idea about? Is it your guilt, knowing you are what you accuse of everyone else?! Either way, rot in hell you jackwagon!

Here’s another f word: Look inward, fool.

Said the:
- grandson of a life-long military veteran/retiree.
- employee of a city that collects revenue - and pays his salary and ALL his benefits - to provide a common good for others.
- one that STILL - or will - enjoy, as did his grandfather and father did, health care and retirement PAID FOR BY OTHERS.

ALL In spite of - and regardless of - his own ignorance of such circumstances.

Can you spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E ???? His banter here is ‘hooray for me and screw you!’

The weird paradox at the heart of capitalism is that free markets, left to themselves, all too often produce suboptimal results. So a certain amount of government intervention (what many would call "socialism") is required for markets to function efficiently. Weird.

And if we are so concerned about "socialism", what exactly are you to do with a President who just took stakes in multiple companies and has hooks to take equity stakes in even more.

So if "socialism" is bad, Trump is bad. You can't have it both ways. But the opposite '"Socialism is good, therefore Trump is good.' isn't necessarily true either.

There are also moves on Westinghouse and Nvidia. And I suspect that the Administration will likely nationalize Big AI like OpenAI and Anthropic. And later on they might nationalize SpaceX.

Wow, what a terrible thing! Of course there's always the capitalist solution that creates more monopolies of grocery store chains. Looking at the examples here in the valley with Thriftway and now Rosauer's. They were profitable, yes as locals, but now as chains the $ goes out of the valley. Small stores can't compete with the larger chains, a set of policies protecting those stores is a worthwhile avenue to implement.

Well first thing is tell those that want to come here welcome but leave the crap you don't like where you are from where you came from, don't bring it here. If you can't do that, go back and change back there, don't come here and change here.

She might not be the first Socialist but do believe she is the first to say failing grocery stores can't close.

So…you would propose what?…..

- Stopping people you dont agree with from running for office?
.
- Not allowing ‘certain’ people from voting?
.
Im curious what your solution is?

LOLZ

If you read a little about him Edwin Brown was way more of a socialist than Bernie Sanders is. If you read a little about Washington State history you will realize that post WWI Washington was practically Marxist, not Socialist as we describe it today.

People should read more history. I'd argue that people who hold any kind of power in our society should be required to study history, at gunpoint if necessary.

You need to read some history. Or even just read. This wouldn't be the first "socialist" mayor of Seattle and we seem to have survived it all just fine last time.
