Pasayten's Methow Valley Bulletin Board

My dumpster was left unlocked Monday so it could be emptied. On Tuesday I opened it and found a pile of opened and unopened mail that was addressed to multiple people with McLean Hill addresses. I removed the mail from the dumpster. I reported it to the postal inspection service, and returned the mail to the winthrop post office. I think the post office will get in touch with these people but I would like them to know what happened just in case usps doesnt follow through. I didn't go through the mail but did notice an empty irs envelope and opened bank statements as i was pulling the mail out of the dumpster. If you know anyone living on McLean Hill please pass this along and have them talk with the post office. If you don't have one I highly suggest a locking mailbox. I imagine these thefts will only become more frequent if the thieves are successful.
