No amount of sanewashing can clean this one up. Trump has just posted on TruthSocial:
"Please explain to Gov Trudeau of Canada, that when he puts on a retaliatory tariff on the US, our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount"

Thinking that King Charles will awaken the Commonwealth over this to join with Canada which will be followed shortly thereafter by a large group of members of the EU.

I'll save Ken and Vern some typing...

This is all happening because woke trans deep staters are trying to undermine Trump by causing the stock market to drop and make him look bad. Also the drop in GDP is because people who don't like him are refusing to participate in the economy.

What can you expect when you give an idiot a flamethrower?

The FED in Atlanta predicts 1st quarter US GDP will decline by 2.8%.

Sure is strange how some people continually vote against their self interests!

"Potash is a mineral with a silly-sounding name and a crucial function: it delivers potassium to farmland. Without it, crop yields collapse.
The United States imports the vast majority of its potash from - Canada. Which will now be subject to tariffs. Even if Qaligula exempts potash from tariffs, which he might, there is little reason for Canada to maintain deliveries if the US Regime declares economic war against it in every other way.
The farm belt affected most directly by restricting potash deliveries voted for Qaligula.
