I sure don't get offended if I am wished Merry Christmas. It can mean many things to many people despite whatever it's origins. It is so ingrained in me to say Merry Christmas. It seems like people are afraid to say it first. If I say Merry Christmas and it offends someone, they can see my grey hair and realize I am old school, in that regard. Sensitivity to others is good and sometimes to strangers I will say Happy Holidays.
