They have set it up pretty nicely with a ski/snowmobile trail along the upper side, it is about 0.3km from the far end of the lot to where you get on the access trail.

There is a short and a bit steep ramp that takes you from the parking lot onto the access trail, and another shorter and less steep ramp that drops you onto Cub Creek Trail about 100m from the Little Cub Creek junction and right before the trail drops downhill to Cub Creek itself and the trailer/bridge.

Snowmobile access is pretty well segregated and there is a separate trail that gets snow machines onto Third Creek Road.

That's if it includes the Rosauer's building. I've heard it being called the "bush plane airstrip".
Also, snowmobilers can park there as well. I was wondering where the ski trail begins. Will people have to walk through a long icey parking lot?
Think of the additional plowing Methow Trails will be doing. Will be interesting. I'll do traihead duty up there in Jan.

New Cub Creek Parking Lot

Post by mister_coffee »

The new Cub Creek trailhead parking is enormous, with a capacity for 200 vehicles. This parking area is probably about the same size as the lot
at Rosauer's in Twisp.
