Community Fire Readiness Forum on June 10, 5:30-7 pm at the Twisp Grange. Come hear representatives from the Forest Service, DNR, Fire District 6 and Fire Adapted Methow speak about staffing cuts and budget cuts at the federal and state level and how they may affect our protection during the upcoming fire season. Do the agencies have the resources they need to do their work? How can we support these organizations? Community discussion to follow, so bring your questions. The goal of the meeting is to come together as a community to address the effects of budgetary cuts, not general forest management policies, but that can be a topic for future meetings.
