Biden Impeachment hoax

Unfortunately for McCarthy history is getting in his way. As he pointed out in '19 to Nancy Pelosi the Speaker does not have the authority to start an impeachment investigation. Trump's DoJ followed up with a binding memorandum that it was necessary for a full House vote. Pelosi held a House vote and got the necessary majority vote to begin the process, but the DoJ held firm and told the House investigators that WH counsel Pat Cipalone was right that the WH didn't have to comply with subpoenas that were dated prior to the full House vote that authorized the investigation.

McCarthy stated on Bannon's program just last weekend that he intended to hold a full House vote before anything would be authorized. That didn't last long. On Wednesday when he made his announcement there had been no full House vote. He knew there was no authority to make this call, he also knew he didn't have enough votes to get this to pass.

So now this will be more more useless battle around the time of an impending govt shutdown. McCarthy needs to do his job and get legislation back on track without all the political noise.

It was stated on today's news that Trump had talked to McCarthy and the GOP about impeaching Biden. Who is really pulling the strings?
Lots of local issues for sure. Growth issues, Game Range, Forest, Orchard Hills in Twisp, nightly rentals, lack of enough people power to function efficiently.

Hmmm, speaker McCarthy started a impeachment inquiry yesterday.

Instead of Democrats calling this a political Witch Hunt which normalizes Trump saying the same thing, they should welcome this inquiry.

If they find enough evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors then yeah impeach Joe Biden and do us all a favor.

Unfortunately some people in power don't know when to retire and that leads to circumstances that are worse for our country.

An Example would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg. While we were all rooting for her good health, she stayed on. If she had retired during Obama's first term when Democrats held the presidency and the Senate, then Obama could have appointed a Supreme Court Justice.

Instead Democrats were out maneuvered by Mitch McConnell and an alleged rapist was appointed to the Supreme Court.

The other example is Dianne Feinstein staying on while too sick to serve and most likely experiencing the final months of her life. Now its too late for the Biden Administration to fill vacant federal judge positions.

All this bravado Echo chamber rhetoric that you guys post here is one thing, but it seems Republicans are out maneuvering Democrats at every turn. If you guys are serious about these issues perhaps quit wasting your time posting online and start making some cold calls and talk to voters or send hand written personal postcards to voters like my sister-in-law does.

As for me, my focus is on local issues. Once again wealthy liberal's actions result in taking much needed money from the poor to fund their dream playground palace. They are making us all look like greedy elitists.

Good piece. Literally Comer is running on fumes at this point and in a political reality if they wanted to use this to leverage the govt shutdown it's pretty much boomeranged on them. Likewise, if Trump was counting on them to ride to his rescue under an Impeach Biden banner he picked the wrong cowboys.
